白和え
豆腐をつぶして白みそまたは醤油、砂糖などで調味して、野菜などを和えた料理。白い豆腐で和えるので白和えという。豆腐・白ごま・白みそと3種類の白い材料で作った和え衣で和えるから白和えという説もある。

Mashed tofu and vegetables seasoned with white miso or soy sauce and sugar. It is called “shiraae,” meaning “white” and “dressed,” as it is dressed with white tofu. It is also said to be called “shiraae” as it uses three white ingredients: tofu, white sesame seeds, and white miso.
